I’ve talked about this sort of thing before in relation to serving Police officers. Now it seems that the problem is not exclusive to them. People in positions of trust, responsibility and influence taking actions that hurt others or at best are socially unacceptable and in the end destroying their future simply because the acted without thinking of the consequences.

Jermaine Jenas has overstepped the mark and sent messages to female colleagues “of an inappropriate sexual nature” and has thrown away what could have been a long and very well paid life not just for him but also for his family.

Another recent example is Huw Edwards. Someone at the very top of the news industry who had the support and respect of the nation but through it all away by being an idiot.

I know it’s very easy to sit back and talk about these people doing stupid things and I also know that it’s easy to do something on the sper of the moment and then regret the action afterward but these people are not doing an isolated “thing” and never repeating it. They are doing whatever they are doing repeatedly thinking that nobody will notice or mind!
