The City Hospital has always taken second place to the QMC in my view. I guess it’s much older and less “structured” and more a collection of old and new buildings and departments spared over a large but restricted site (no room for expansion).

It’s been many years since I’ve had a drive through the site but I was over that way this week and thought I would take a look. It’s changes massively from my time doing foot patrol there in the 80’s when working as a police officer but my overwhelming thought was how “disorganised” it looks. Kind of like there has been no overall design to the building. Almost like it congealed!!

Not a criticism, just an observation.
