I like “security” in and around my flat. Although I live in a very nice location and the building has a door entry system to keep passing members of the public out I still like to have my own in house security.
6 months ago I installed a battery powered Ring doorbell and shortly after I added a Ring home alarm system. To that I’ve added additional movement sensors and a panic button next to my bed.
Finally I added 2 Tapo security cameras so that if the alarm went off and I was out, I could log into the cameras and check my flat was ok. This all worked very well but I didn’t like the disconnection between the Ring system and the Tapo cameras. I needed to open 2 different apps to manage them. So this week I have replaced the Tapo cameras with a full set of Ring cameras in all my rooms (apart from the loo of course!) and at the moment I’m very impressed with them.
What I like the most is that I can set different monitoring and recording settings in each camera depending on what mode my alarm is in. So for example if I’m at home and it’s daytime, none of the internal cameras are placed into recording mode. But at night or if I’m away from home all of them will record and notify me via my phone if they pick up any movement.
My ring of steel grows stronger!
