Today is the kings official birthday (happy birthday mate!). And as a result we get to watch the very best example of British military pomp and ceremony in the world the form of “Trooping The Colour”.

Starting at 10:30am on BBC I will be glued to the whole thing from start to finish.

As a footnote it’s good to see that Kate, the Princess Of Wales will be attending and I hope this is a positive step on her road to recovery from cancer.
