A British Police Officer possibly has one of the best jobs in the world. They have job security as long as the don’t do something stupid. They have career development and progress opportunities. They have a good pension and more than all of this they have in my opinion one of the most interesting jobs going.

So what makes an officer in the Prime Ministers personal Met Police Political Protection Squad with years of service do something so stupid as to place a bet on when the next election was going to be held?

He has potentially thrown away everything by acting on an impulse. He’s been suspended from duty, arrested and bailed pending an investigation.

Such a shame.
