I just want to express my sadness at the loss of both Sqn Ldr Mark Long who died following the crash at RAF Coningsby and the loss of an iconic aircraft the “Spitfire” which formed part of the Battle of Britten Memorial Flight.

Sqn Ldr Mark Long will never be replaced but I hope one day the Spitfire will fly again in tribute to him.
