Stopping my brain from itching!!
It might not look much, but what you are seeing over on the left is the result of spending 3 hours yesterday very careful untangling, sorting, labelling and finally laying out of all the USB leads, control leads, monitor cables coax, power and sound leads that fit in the back of my main radio to make it work.
I try my best to keep them all wires laid out as neatly as possible because, for one reason it’s how my brain works!! I can not sleep at night knowing there is “rats nest” of wires and cables at the back of my radio. It’s also a matter of pride. I’ve spent hours building a work station that for me looks fantastic so why ruin it all with wires all over the place. Then, finally, laying all the wires out properly reduces the chance of them cross interfering with each other which means everything works as it should do when it should do.
So, after this photo was taken, I hooked everything into the radio and slid it back into place, sat back and smiled to myself knowing I had done a proper job.
The only annoying thing that has come up today is the “rats nestification” has started all over again because I have dropped a new microphone cable in and because I’m not digging the radio out just for one cable it’s not going to be laid out properly and that’s going to start making my brain itch again.
