Cup Of Coffe List
I’m very much not into hero worship. Anyone is as good as anyone else. However, there is a small list of people I would love to sit down and have a cup of coffee (or tea) with.
This is the ever changing “Cup Of Coffee List” presented in no particular order of importance.
Richard Branson – Founder of the Virgin group. I’ve watched several interviews with him and I don’t think there is a more humble and human man of his stature. The things I like about him are that he values the people who work for him and he never seems to set himself above others.
Richard Feynman – A wonderful man from New York with one of the best New York accents I have ever heard. I could listen to this guy talk about nothing all day long. But more than anything he was an incredible genius in the world of physics who also saw the world through the eyes of an artist. I think he loved and appreciated the much wider world.
“The highest forms of understanding we can achieve are laughter and human compassion.”
Guy Martin - I’ve watched this guy for many years and there is no question he is quite a character to say the least. But much of that character I suspect is created for the benefit of TV land. I’m completely sure that he is very genuine and what you see on TV is him but I also think there is an even more interesting person behind all the lights, cameras and action and that’s the Guy Martin I would like to meet.
Maybe I’ll just pop over to his workshop, have a mug of coffee with him and just get to know him. Stranger things could happen!
