A bit of snow in the UK and we all go to pot!

I sometimes despair at the risk averse society we live in today. According to the Met Office there is a bit of snow and a cold spell hitting us over the next few days and as such a yellow and amber weather warning has been issued.

But in reality the snow is going to be around for a day or 2 at the most and the low temperatures are going to be -1°c or -2°c.

If you watch the BBC news over the last few days the way they are talking it sounds more like a new Ice Age apocalypse in about to hit us.

I remember not that many years ago heading home to Rainworth and it was indicating -19°c.

Now I completely understand -1°c is more of a problem than for others but the way we are approaching it’s more like a problem to everyone.

Come on people, grow up and stand up to what is at the end of the day just normal winter weather that hits us EVER year.
