Well, that’s a bit of a surprise
As you may know from reading my pervious blog post I am fighting against Diabetic Macular Edema or DME for short. Following the treatment, my vision is needle sharp for a period of weeks and then is starts to decline rapidly over a few days to a week with loss of colour, contrast and sharpness. You could describe it as dropping over a cliff edge type of decline.
This started to happen just over a week ago and by last Tuesday morning at 7am in the morning I was unable to read text on the TV screen. This gets better as the day progresses and I suspect some of the fluids drain from my eyes.
Following Friday mornings visit to see the consultant and arrange another 3 monthly injections my vision has spontaneously undergone substantial improvements in all aspects of vision!
I think it is to early to consider postponing the first of the injections next week as I don’t know if this will be a lasting improvement or if it’s just going to be a passing thing.
Either way, I’m taking it as a tiny win for now
